Austin's Butterfly

Austin's Butterfly

Austin was a first-grade boy that was asked to draw a Western tiger swallowtail butterfly. This butterfly was going to be on a card that was going to be produced by the school and sold. Austin didn't have great drawing abilities so he stopped looking at the picture and started drawing an icon from his brain of a butterfly. He looked upset because his drawing didn't look like the real one. So then the man gave him very specific instructions to draw like the real butterfly.
I have learned that if you give someone very specific instructions, they would be able to do it. This is like the Growth Mindset.
