R.E Reflection

 R.E. Reflection

This week I have been writing about the Last Supper for my RE. Two things I will remember about the Last Supper is how Jesus quietly kneels down and washes the disciples' feet and how Jesus said,"someone will betray me tonight." What really helped me to re-tell this story is that there was a video of the Last Supper. I could watch the video and then re-tell the Last Supper in my own words.
Here is my writing:
Jesus invited his closest followers,His disciples, to have a fine dinner with him. As the evening came, Jesus took his disciples to a huge, better room up-stairs.
When the disciples sat down after a hot, tiring day,Jesus silently sat down near a clean bowl of water. Unexpectedly, Jesus starts washing His disciples feet.
"But Lord, what are You doing??? You are too powerful and more important than me. I don't deserve You to kneel down before me, maybe we can just a servant?" Questioned Peter.
"Peter it's OK. You too John. I will wash each one of your feet," Jesus replied.
So as time passed by, Jesus, their Lord and teacher went around the table, washing His disciples' feet. When the disciples' feet were all clean, Jesus joined them at the table.
"One of you will betray me tonight," said Jesus. Gasps came from all the disciples.
"Is it I, Lord?"
"Is it I that will betray You Lord?" Questions came from every disciples with shocked faces after wards.
"It will be one of you that eats this bread," continues Jesus.
Jesus shares the bread around while everyone takes a piece. Then He says," Take this and eat from it, for this is my body which is given out for you." Next, Jesus pours out the wine into a cup. He passes it around while saying,"This is my blood of the new covenant which is poured out for you and for many." And that was the end of the ceremony.
