My Reflection of My Speech

My Speech

This Week, Aroha Tahi had their speech competition. My speech was about How Rubbish Affects Our Precious World. We had about 3 weeks to write our speeches and it had to be 3-4 minutes long. I performed my speech on Wednesday, here is my speech.

Worshiping God

Worshiping God

What Does It Mean To Worship God?

It means to adore and honour him above everything else. To praise and respect him and to also follow in his footsteps. We are His sheep and He is our shepherd.

Why Do We Worship God?

We worship God because He is the creator of all living things. He also gives us guidance and comfort in our lives. For He is there always so we must thank Him in many ways.

Where Do We Worship God?

Everywhere, we can worship God anywhere and anytime. We worship God at Mass and at church, at Liturgy and Assembly. We can also worship God before we have dinner and before we go to sleep.
And we always worship Him in school too.

How Do YOU Worship God?

I worship God by going to masses, in the choir because we sing to God. Before meals and before I go to sleep. I volunteer by altar serving at masses and volunteering in the SVA.

STEM Reflection Term 3 Week 2

STEM Reflection

On Monday this week, my STEM workshop was about Electricity. First of all, we had to pick a partner and I chose Sara. Our first challenge was to make 1 light bulb light up with using only 2 wires. The resources were, 2 batteries and a battery holder, 2 small light bulbs and 4 wires so we connect them together. As quick as lightning, Sara and I have accomplished the first challenge.
For the second challenge, we have to light up 2 light bulbs with 3 wires. Like the first, Sara and I have finished already.
Now, the last challenge was the hardest, we had to make 2 light bulbs go with 4 wires, but when you take one side of 1 wire, only 1 light bulb should go off.

STEM Workshop Term 3 Week 3

STEM Reflection

This week, my STEM workshop was about Vortex Cannons. The first thing we talked about was the 3 states of matter. The 3 states of matter are Solid, Liquid and Gas. An example of a Solid is like a cube where the atoms are closer together. A liquid is like water or juice where the atoms are a little bit apart meaning that when you pour water into a jug, it will take the capacity of that jug. But when you pour water into an open area, it will spill everywhere because the atoms are a more apart. And the last one is Gas. Gas is when the atoms are way more apart. Gas also goes up and the type of gases are, carbon dioxide, air or oxygen and when water evaporates from the heat, that's also gas too.

Our task was to make a smaller Vortex Cannon using a half plastic bottle, a balloon and some tape. Because the bottle was already cut into half, all we had to do was to cut a little bit of the balloon then put it around the plastic bottle. Then to make the balloon stay, you put the tape around the balloon.
This is what a vortex cannon looks like:
