Goal : To understand the purpose I am writing for identify the writing processes that are appropriate for that purpose. 

This week our purpose was for ANZAC and we wrote about the Underground Soldiers. We wrote a report about it, a report needs real facts, subtitles for a new paragraph, an audience hook to start, scientific and accurate words and a conclusion with your personal thoughts.

My Maths Reflection

Everyday in Maths I have been learning My Mental Maths and I have been improving very well. My highest score is 19\20 and I really want that 100%. Here is an example for what I have learnt:

Is 675 divisible by 3? 

Well the answer I got is yes and it was right. But there is an easier way to figure it out.

6+7+5=18

18 is divisible by 3.

To compare fraction sizes with whole numbers, e.g. 8 pies shared amongst 3 people = 8/3 = 2 and 2/3.

Maths

For maths, I have been doing my Maths Hub. I have been learning to use Multiplication to solve addition and subtraction problems. Such as:

88-56-16+32=

(8x11)-(8x7)-(8x2)+(8x4)=

(8x6)=48

My maths goal is to compare fraction sizes with whole numbers, e.g. 8 pies shared amongst 3 people = 8/3 = 2 and 2/3. I think I understand this goal and I think I have been successful because I have been doing fractions in my Maths Hub. Here is an example:

0.75=3\4 of 60=

60 divided by 4=15x3=45.
